HortEco seminar March 2020

On March 5, 2020 a seminar in the framework of the HortEco project was organized by the Faculty of Agronomy, Universidad de la República del Uruguay and Red de Agroecología.

The seminar  was entitled “Agroecological transition, production, commercialization, participatory guarantee systems and Uruguay National Plan for Agroecology: Exchange of experiences between Uruguay and Chile”.

The seminar brought together various actors from the agroecological vegetable food systems in Uruguay and Chile to exchange experiences, analyze strengths and weaknesses and strategies for  a transition to agroecology. Participants to the seminar included representatives of agroecological networks in both Chile and Uruguay, members of farmer’s associations, representatives of public institutions, technical advisors, students and researchers.
