Urbanising the Deltas of the World & food security
Urbanising Deltas of the World (UDW) is a research and innovation programme that aims to contribute to global water safety, food security and sustainable economic development in river deltas worldwide, by providing more effective and efficient responses to urbanisation and climate change. The research programme is financed by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.
NWO initiates a bottom-up process to further define the content and conditions of the second call for proposals for the UWD Programme. The call will fund projects that focus on business challenges to which science can contribute.
If you are interested in participating in this process, you are invited to send NWO an Expression of Interest, outlining your ideas for a business challenge and ways to realize that challenge through the call. Expressions of Interest can be submitted until Monday November 3, 2014.
