Fourteenth F&BKP newsletter
In the July newsletter, the Food & Business Knowledge Platform firstly states that the definition of food and nutrition security requires an integrated understanding of food production, distribution, access, utilization and stability, as recently described in a discussion paper now available at this website.
Furthermore, the four CGIAR Research Programs that have been identified within the NL-CGIAR partnership, are mentioned. These programs most clearly target the shared Priority Knowledge Domains, which include Agriculture for Nutrition and Health; Climate Change; Agriculture and Food Security; Policies, Institutions and Markets; and Water, Land and Ecosystems.
Lastly, you can find information about the updated LANDac country fact sheets on land governance and food security and the six Ghanaian companies that have been selected for the Food Connection Challenge. You can also find highlighted data and knowledge components of the 2016 Global Nutrition Report. Lastly, you can read about the meeting on food security effects of floriculture investments in East Africa.
To regularly stay updated on the activities within the Platform, you can follow us on Twitter and Facebook. For more detailed information, please visit our website, where you now can find the new Theme page on Youth in Agri-Food.
Please take a look at our flyer about the F&BKP Knowledge Portal and feel free to share articles, reports, papers and other knowledge items that you find relevant for the Knowledge Portal.
