F&BKP Newsletter July 2019 (#03)
In its July Newsletter, the Food & Business Knowledge Platform (F&BKP) highlights the Food & Nutrition Security Excellence Programme, an opportunity for students to work on real-life cases of Dutch Embassies in Burundi and Kenya. Furthermore reports of various knowledge activities are presented.
The Platform informs on: two Community of Practice meetings, one on Food systems and one on Food security and stability; the launch of the 2019 IFPRI and EAT-Lancet reports on agriculture, food and nutrition; and a panel discussion on the organic movement contributing to SDG2.
Furthermore, a report is published on the international multi-stakeholder workshop “How to tackle the challenges for seed system changes?” held subsequent to the internal kick-off meeting of the research projects on Seed Systems Development. The Applied Research Fund projects in Uganda came together for a scaling opportunities workshop; and a public event on “Scaling climate-smart agriculture” in East Africa was organized in the context of the midterm workshop of the Global Challenges Programme – CCAFS projects.
