Progress NL-CGIAR Portfolio
The strategic partnership between the CGIAR and the Netherlands is taking shape. On June 2, 2016 a stock meeting was organized to discuss the progress with the development of the NL-CGIAR Portfolio. Participants from knowledge institutions, government, private sector, civil society and CGIAR CRPs were present at the meeting to discuss the progress.
Four CGIAR Research Programs (CRPs) that most clearly target shared Priority Knowledge Domains have been identified: Agriculture for Nutrition and Health (A4NH), Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS), Policies, Institutions and Markets (PIM), and Water, Land and Ecosystems (WLE). For these priorities, productive partnerships are developing between the CRPs and Dutch knowledge providers.
A number of additional partnerships are being developed as well. Financial and organizational modalities to support the NL-CGIAR partnership are also taking shape. The process is expected to be completed by the end of the year, and the CRPs will start in 2017.
At the meeting in The Hague, twenty-two participants from knowledge institutions, government, private sector, civil society and CGIAR CRPs discussed the progress of the NL-CGIAR Portfolio.
