Summaries ARF-1 & GCP-1 projects of the NWO-WOTRO Food & Business Research Programme
The popular summaries of the eight research projects that recently received funding in the third round of the first call of the Applied Research Fund (ARF) are now published on the NWO-WOTRO website. Also the summaries of the other two rounds of the first ARF call for proposals and of the five awarded projects of the first Global Challenges Programme (GCP) call can be found there.
ARF Research Projects
ARF-funded research projects focus on innovations that are readily applicable and contribute to sustainable food security for the most vulnerable populations. All research is jointly conducted by local practitioners’ organizations and research and/or higher education organizations. Currently, in total fifteen research projects of the first round receive funding from the ARF.

GCP Research Projects
The other funding instrument within the Food & Business Research NWO-Programme is the Global Challenges Programme. GCP-funded research projects aim to generate research-based advanced understanding of emerging key issues in food security and their impact on regional and local food security, and the role of private sector development. As a result of the first call for proposals, five research projects were awarded funding in April 2014.
The popular summaries of those projects are on the GCP Research Projects page of the NWO-WOTRO website
