Summary video public seminar “Future food systems for Ghanaian food security”

On Thursday afternoon January 17, 2019, the Food & Business Knowledge Platform (F&BKP) and NWO-WOTRO Science for Global Development organized the public seminar “Future food systems for Ghanaian food security” in Accra.

Professionals working to improve Food and Nutrition Security in Ghana exchanged with Dutch international multi-stakeholder Research Groups of the Global Challenges Programme (GCP) Call 3. These projects are financed by NWO-WOTRO, focus on food systems and were present in Ghana for their midterm sessions.

Central theme of this exchange was future food systems for Ghanaian food security. The seminar was centred around the question how Ghanaian consumers can access sufficient various quality food that is in accordance with their dietary wishes and health needs, and the drivers of change (type of policy, agriculture, inclusive trade, etc.) needed to achieve this sustainably.
