Final report Learning journey on food safety
From November 9 to 13, a group of around 30 experts from the World Bank Group came to the Netherlands for a Learning journey on food safety. This was the first activity under the “Food for All Partnership” between the World Bank Group and the Netherlands.
Participants in the one-week learning journey were programme coordinators, investment officers and food safety specialists with responsibilities for food security and agriculture in the Bank’s regional offices and headquarters, as well as selected clients and partners working with the World Bank Group in several countries, and a few Dutch embassy staff and clients.
The learning journey combined state-of-the-art insights from science and practice, discussions with policy makers, and interaction with companies, stakeholder organizations and authorities involved in managing food safety in the Netherlands. See an earlier article on this website.

Follow-up
In 2016, the World Bank Group and the Netherlands will continue collaborating in the context of the “Food for All Partnership”. This partnership aims to increase knowledge, support job creation, and secure long-term sustainability of agriculture in developing countries. More news will be shared at this website.
