Early February, the first Food for All Talk under the WBG-Netherlands Partnership took place. Chair was Juergen Voegele, Senior Director, Agriculture Global Practice at the World Bank Group. Panelists John McDermott (IFPRI) and Inge Brouwer (Wageningen UR) urged participants to flip their thinking: from “Farm to Fork“, to “Fork to Farm”. »

The full report of the one-day event “IFC and Agribusiness in a Chaning Environmet” has been published. The event in The Hague was organized on October 28, 2016, by RVO and IUCN NL – together with IFC – in the framework of the World Bank Group-Netherlands strategic partnership ‘Food for All’. »

Many policies and programs are being implemented that should bring youth back to work in agriculture, but they are often underpinned by assumptions that could undermine the effective augmentation of food security and employment. To start the discussion by shedding some light on the do’s and don’ts when working with youth, we organized two meetings on youth inclusiveness in agricultural transformation. »

Integrated landscape management is increasingly recognized as a means to simultaneously achieve sustainable food production, ecosystem conservation, and sustainable livelihoods at the landscape level. With the aim to contribute to the further sharing of knowledge, dialogue and action to support integrated landscape management worldwide, CDI organized the Netherlands Landscape Learning Journey. »

The aim of the workshop “The Future for Food Systems” was to support systematic food systems research as an analytical and policy device. The seminar was organized by Wageningen University & Research and IFPRI together with FOODSECURE & SUSFANS. Participants were about 100 researchers and experts from private sector, government and civil society organizations. »

The main objective of this Pre-event was to highlight the increasingly international dimension of food systems and the need to include the perspectives of consumers in Europe and outside Europe, and to strengthen their involvement in research and innovation. The event was organized to contribute to the broader FOOD 2030 High Level Conference held in Brussels on October 12-13, 2016. »
