“Horticultural food systems based on ecologically intensive production and socio-economically sustainable value chains in the transition economies Chile and Uruguay” is a Global Challenges Programme (GCP) project which received funding in the third Call.
GCP research is carried out in consortia consisting of Southern and Northern scientific and other partners. The projects have a duration of four to five years and are aimed at enhancing the understanding of food and nutrition security in Low- and Middle-Income Countries. In May 2016, five Integrated Projects have been awarded grants as part of the GCP third Call with focus on sustainable food systems and/or urbanization and challenges for food and nutrition security.
