Five more Senior Experts funded in the NL-CGIAR Programme
Five senior researchers will receive funding in the third assessment round of the CGIAR Senior Expert Programme to spend more time on their CGIAR research and research management in large CGIAR programmes and platforms. The CGIAR, a global research partnership, collaborates with the Netherlands on food security, dedicated to reducing poverty, enhancing food and nutrition security, and improving natural resources.
The Senior Expert Programme (SEP) is one of the three instruments in the Netherlands – CGIAR research programme. The Senior Expert Programme aims to support the participation of Dutch research organizations in CGIAR. This is realized through funding a part of the personnel costs of Senior Experts who are employed at a Dutch research organization and participate within a CGIAR Research Program (CRP) or Platform with linkages to one or more of the four priority knowledge domains of the thematic strategic partnership.
