F&BKP Newsletter October 2020 (#04)

In this fourth Newsletter of 2020, the F&BKP gives an update on the Netherlands Food Partnership which is increasingly taking shape. Furthermore it gives an overview of current activities like the webinar series of COVID-19 CoP Digital Solutions, and events and Knowledge Portal items on Food Nutrition and Security. 

In this Newsletter, the Platform informs about the Netherlands Food Partnership (NFP) – into which the F&BKP and AgriProFocus are transforming – which is in the meantime increasingly taking shape. To stay updated on the NFP, please visit the website to subscribe to the Newsletter.

On September 1, Myrtille Danse started as Executive Director of the partnership. She represented NFP on SDG Action Day during a workshop organised with SDG 2 Alliantie on collaborating towards sustainabile food systems and healthy diets in low and middle income countries. Furthermore, she was interviewed by ViceVersa for the first article in a series entitled “Africa 2030 Food & Work” on transforming African food systems to provide enough and healthy food for a growing population, while generating income and employment for an increasing number of youth.

On October 16, NFP is organising an online Professionals Event during World Food Day together with the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. For more information see the article below and the designated World Food Day website.
