YEP Effect 5, results of YEP Phase I
The fifth edition of YEP Effect has been released, informing about the impact made through Young Expert Programmes (YEP Water and Agrofood) and the new YEP Tailor-made programme. The magazine reflects on 16 batches of Young Experts in YEP Phase I (2013-2019), and the new YEP Tailor-made programme. The YEP Bureau is currently negotiating about YEP Phase II, and hopes to continue the Young Expert Programmes soon.
In the last years, YEP Programmes was able to kickstart the international careers of 404 Young Experts in the water and agrofood sectors, making a considerable impact in 38 countries. At the end of 2018, YEP Tailor-made started with another 24 local Young Experts, next to the Dutch Young Experts already working at the Dutch embassies. YEP Tailor-made has been set up especially for organizations and programmes (including embassies) already receiving financial support from the Dutch government. YEP Tailor-made does not offer extra financial support, but allows the Young Experts to participate in the training and coaching trajectory of the YEP Programmes and to become part of the YEP Global Network.
In YEP Effect 5, Young Experts share their experiences and contributions to the SDGs in the water and agrofood sectors. Furthermore, the five YEP Learning Tracks are launched, showing the relations among the different trainings and (online) masterclasses and the various possible learning paths for Young Experts in the first, and if applicable second, year and beyond as YEP-Alumni.
