From November 25 to 27, a big regional horticulture event took place in Kigali consisting of a three-day horticultural exhibition at the PSF Expo Grounds, combined with a two-day conference about Innovation and Trade in Horticulture. A Business Innovation Competition took place during the event as well. »

From November 9 to 13, a group of around 30 experts from the World Bank Group came to the Netherlands for a Learning tour on food safety. This was the first activity under the “Food for All Partnership” between the World Bank and the Netherlands. »

Food and nutrition security is one of the main themes in Dutch development policy. The Dutch government believes that the Netherlands can make a significant contribution to global food security due to the extensive knowledge on farming, the innovative business sector and the ambitions of Dutch civil society and knowledge institute partners. »

In early 2015, LANDac and the F&BKP developed a knowledge agenda on land governance and food security. One of the activities addressed as part of the agenda was the development of three country-specific capacity building trajectories in linking land governance and food security. »
