Dutch agrofood companies are reflecting on the role they can play in the increasing worldwide demand for (fresh) food produce. To feed growing cities in a sustainable way, they need to speed up the pace of innovation, share knowledge and position themselves better. These were some of the conclusions of the “Feeding Cities” meeting, held on April 18, 2017. »

Mid 2015, Pure Birds and the Postharvest Network, supported by the F&BKP, started a programme around Fit-to-Purpose strategies of Dutch agrofood companies. Two events were organized and as a follow-up a position paper and three factsheets on the Fit-to-Purpose strategies of DADTCO, Geerlofs and Growpact were published. »

On April 13, the third Food for All Talk (#FFATalks) under the WBG-Netherlands Partnership took place. Ethel Sennhauser of the World Bank Group, led the discussion about how seed companies help smallholder farmers diversify into growing vegetables for income and better nutrition. »

The YEP Programme Bureau has published its Annual Report 2016, providing an overview of the activities and results over the course of 2016. The Report is an annex to YEP Effect no. 2, which describes the effects the Young Experts have or had in their international work. »
