The Food security and COVID-19 CoP on Digital Solutions organizes a webinar series “Digital opportunities in the response to COVID-19 in Asian & Africa agriculture”. The first one takes place on on July 30, 2020 from 14:00 till 15:00 CEST and focuses on how African entrepreneurs use digital technology in the COVID-19 crisis. 

Speakers at this interactive webinar “How do African entrepreneurs in agriculture use digital technology to respond to COVID-19?” are:

  1. Sriram Bharatam, Founder of Kuza, How did Kuza, an innovative e-learning platform for smallholder farmers in Kenya, respond to C-19?
  2. Monique Barenboim Vanni, Manager at Solidaridad, How did Solidaridad use its digital presence to support agri supply chains in Africa in times of C-19?
  3. Alhassan Issahaku, Innovation Lead at 2SCALE, In the long run, how do digital entrepreneurs establish commercial relationships with agribusinesses beyond the 2SCALE program? Concrete examples of digital tech in 2SCALE.

By joining this first webinar, in a series of three, participants engage directly with the experts! They will learn about how these initiatives found opportunities for entrepreneurs in times of Covid-19. The CoP is looking forward to a fruitful discussion on resilience in agriculture with digital technology.
