WOTRO, the Science for Global Development department of NWO (The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research) is organizing an online debate series on Food & Nutrition Security. The first episode takes place on July 28, 2020 and focuses on Local and Indigenous foods. 

NWO-WOTRO is organizing an online debate series on Food & Nutrition Security, based on new knowledge and insights from the Food & Business Research programme funded by NWO-WOTRO and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The first episode takes place on July 28, 2020 and is entitled “Local and Indigenous foods”. The debate will focus on the following proposition: “Promoting indigenous foods is the solution to addressing food and nutrition insecurity in the Global South”.
The two debaters are: dr Sijmen Schoustra, Assistant Professor department of Plant Sciences, Wageningen University & Research and dr Francesco Rampa, Head of Programme Sustainable Food Systems, ECDPM.
