Embassies and the F&BKP

The embassies are an important partner of the F&BKP. Food security experts and agricultural counsellors can submit proposals for external events or short term analyses, relevant for FNS and private sector development policy goals. Results of embassy programmes can be communicated through the F&BKP newsletters and website. During the Food Security exchange week in March 2016, the value of joint learning between the Dutch embassies was reconfirmed. The F&BKP is well positioned to play a facilitating role in result reporting, learning and communication.

About embassies

Worldwide, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands has some 150 embassies, and consulates-general. It also has 345 honorary consulates, with limited powers. All of these represent the Netherlands. Together, they are called ‘missions’.

For more information, visit the website of the Government of the Netherlands.
