A new comprehensive database of funds providing capital for AgTech companies is available on the new website of NpM, Platform for Inclusive Finance. The tool is based on the study “Critical Capital for African Agri-Food SMEs” and the list is expanded to include all of Africa and some Asian countries. »

Satellite Data Application for Ugandan Farmers Moves from Project to Business Phase

The MUIIS project is one of the larger projects within the Geodata for Agriculture and Water (G4AW) Programme managed by NSO, where satellite data are used to contribute to food security. Around 250,000 small Ugandan farmers have registered for eligibility for a combination of agricultural advice information and financial services. After three years of a project status that included financial support by the Netherlands, the service will now continue under its own steam. »

Three awards under Senior Expert Programme of the Netherlands-CGIAR partnership

Three senior researchers employed at Dutch research organizations will receive extra funding to spend more time on their CGIAR research and research management in large CGIAR programmes and platforms. The CGIAR, a global research partnership, also collaborates with the Netherlands on food security, dedicated to reducing poverty, enhancing food and nutrition security, and improving natural resources. »
