The celebration of World Food Day 2019 on October 16 was the perfect occasion to launch the Netherlands Food Partnership. “Boost transformative approaches for sustainable food systems and healthy diets”. That is the mission of the Netherlands Food Partnership. NFP facilitates parties which recognize the need to speed up to achieve SDG2, and are eager to act together.   »

On World Food Day 2019 the Kick-Off of the Food & Nutrition Security Excellence Programme will take place. In total, 32 Bachelor students from Dutch higher education institutes have been selected to work on real-life cases of Dutch embassies in Africa. The FNS Excellence Programme is carried out jointly by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, and the F&BKP. »

Five senior researchers will receive funding in the third assessment round of the CGIAR Senior Expert Programme to spend more time on their CGIAR research and research management in large CGIAR programmes and platforms. The CGIAR, a global research partnership, collaborates with the Netherlands on food security, dedicated to reducing poverty, enhancing food and nutrition security, and improving natural resources. »

Young Expert Programmes (YEP) is looking for project proposals for new positions for YEP Water, YEP Agrofood and the brand new YEP Energy. Deadline for submitting project proposals is October 15, 2019. »

Senior experts – working at Dutch research organizations and involved in CGIAR research or management – are given the opportunity to spend (more) time on their CGIAR activities. The call to cover part of their personnel costs has been reopened with an adjustment in the domains that can be requested. The deadline for the next assessment round is October 1, 2019. »
