Selection guidelines for Knowledge Portal items
The F&BKP Knowledge Portal serves as a gateway to cutting-edge knowledge products on food and nutrition security (FNS). Items such as reports, briefs, toolkits and articles are selected and shared by the F&BKP Office knowledge brokers and the wider F&BKP network of partners and experts in the field of FNS. For the selection of these items, guidelines are used. A knowledge item should contain several of the following characteristics:
- Focus on the field of food and nutrition security and poverty reduction (development perspective);
- Highlight relevant new developments, deepen current knowledge, and/or articulate future knowledge questions;
- Offer innovative, inspiring, cutting-edge and/or unusual knowledge (e.g. on methodology, organisational and institutional structures, or good practices);
- Offer system level, interdisciplinary and integrated knowledge;
- Support bridging the gap between knowledge and policy & practice;
- Link to the Dutch development agenda and/or topics where the Netherlands has added value;
- Be relevant for professionals within the Dutch Diamond (civil society, government, business and knowledge institutes) and LMICs (low and middle income countries);
- Be relevant for those who apply knowledge (strategic decision-makers, practitioners);
- Provide information that supports innovative partnerships with actors from the Dutch Diamond (e.g. business and civil society);
- Focus on priority topics, chosen by The Office.
