On Monday May 12, 2014, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, LANDac and the Food & Business Knowledge Platform organize a lunch meeting: “Dealing strategically with land issues”.

During this meeting the case of Benin will be discussed. Recent developments concerning land rights and the role these rights play in land governance will be the central theme.
Speakers are Frits van der Wal (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Ruud van der Helm (EKN Cotonou), Marco Lankhorst (The Hague Institute for Global Justice), and Frans Olthof (GBKN).

After the presentations an exploration of the knowledge questions around the theme Land & Poverty will follow. Those knowledge questions will eventually be elaborated within the Food & Business Knowledge Platform.
