At the end of every year, AgriProFocus Ethiopia organizes a Network Day which brings all its members together to discuss important occurrences and developments in Ethiopian Agriculture and related sectors. New research findings will be featured; best practices will be shared. Also implementations of the AgriProFocus Ethiopia network and Innovation Communities will be reviewed, while next year plans will be developed with members’ inputs. The Network Day is also an opportunity for members and partners to promote their organization, programs, products and services with a Market Place organized for this purpose.

Current Developments on Ethiopian Agricultural Sector

Guest Speakers will forward the current agricultural efforts and developments in Ethiopia. Thorough discussions, questions and answers will follow the presentations. Members will get the opportunity to understand the present challenges and achievements from both the government and private sectors.

Parallel Sessions on Important Topics

While registering for the event, participants can choose one of the following topics to discuss existing challenges, brainstorm possible solutions, and share practical experiences:
1. Impact of agribusiness development on smallholder farmers in Ethiopia (LANDAC)
2. How to mainstream soil health management in regular agricultural development programmes? (ISD/MoA/ATA)
3. Dairy Development Programme (DairyBISS)
4. Climate smart agriculture, and what does it mean for us in Ethiopia?
5. Rural Finance (especially input finance); would a revolving fund for farmers be a solution? ICCI-Terrafina
6. Pastoralism – a forgotten sector? Dr.Yohannis, Federal Affairs via ISD (to be confirmed)

As always a market place has been arranged and an exhibition to promote products and services, as well as organization programs and projects. 2016 Network Plans

Being a network, AgriProFocus Ethiopia values the involvement of its members in reviewing implementations and in having a say on the 2016 annual plan as very crucial. Therefore, there will be presentations from the coordination team of AgriProFocus Ethiopia, and a floor for members to forward their comments and suggestions.
