During 2016 the F&BKP Steering Committee commissioned a stakeholder review of the Platform. Consultants Jolein Baidenmann and Alex Percy-Smith focused on the performance and added value of the Platform in the eyes of its stakeholders and gave forward-looking advice on the approach and positioning of the Platform. »

On Monday January, 16, 2017, the YEP Effect Magazine was launched during the kick-off of the Young Expert Programmes Training for batch 10. Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Netherlands Water Partnership and the F&BKP were present at the event and received the first copies of the magazine from YEP. »

Representatives of nine Applied Research Fund (ARF) projects – from research, the private sector and NGOs and governmental agencies – gathered for a country workshop in Entebbe on the 26th and the 27th of January. They discussed and reflected upon emerging findings and results of research on food security and private sector development. »

The Netherlands Land Academy (LANDac) and the F&BKP, together with CIFOR and Shared Value Foundation have started the Learning Platforms on Land Governance and Food Security. Building on activities of the LANDac and F&BKP, the Learning Platforms will facilitate exchanges and dialogue between private sector partners and local stakeholders in investment hubs in Tanzania, Uganda and Mozambique. »
