This book by SNV and WUR intends to give an insight into the work that SNV’s Kenya Market-led Dairy Programme (KMDP) has been doing over the past four years. The impact of the use of new technologies on farmers’ wheat yield in Ethiopia

This conference paper examines the impact of the Wheat Initiative technology package promoted by the research and extension systems in Ethiopia on wheat yield. The results suggest that the full-package farmers had around 14% higher yields. Implementation of the Wheat Initiative was successful in terms of making certified seed and fertilizer accessible and increasing uptake, though only 61 percent of the intervention group adopted row planting and few farmers received marketing assistance. »

A seven-month Behavioral Change for Improved Nutrition intervention assessed the ability of pastoral-community platforms to increase awareness on optimal practices to promote positive behavioural changes in the study communities. »

Vegetable diversification in cocoa-based farming systems Ghana

This study in the Agriculture & Food Security Journal assessed the extent of diversification of vegetables among farmers in Ghana’s cocoa belt and determined the factors that explain the variability in the diversification indices. It was found that marital status of the household head and total land endowment were the major determinants of diversification. »
