Youth World Food Day takes place on October 16, 2019 in Ede and is an initiative of I4NATURE with foodFIRST, the council of Ede, World Food Center, Wageningen Youth Institute and F&BKP. During the event, the Food & Nutrition Security Excellence Programme will be kicked off and in the afternoon the Zero Waste Challenge on Food Losses and Waste will take place. »
This specific World Food Day event in Brussels “FOOD 2030: Nourishing people and nurturing the planet through sustainable healthy diets for all” is joining up with FOOD 2030, and discusses the cross-sectoral role of nutrition with a focus on obesity at local, national, EU and global level. »
The EPA Forum 2019 takes place in Cotonou, Benin, on October 17 and 18 and focuses on the theme: “Utilizing Evidence to Improve Food Security and Nutrition in Urban Areas”. The event is mainly supported by and built around the work of the Global Challenges Programme project “Allotment gardens and food security in urban Africa”. »
