The third Call for Proposals of the Food & Business Applied Research Fund (ARF) is open for applications. A workshop on the third call ARF is organized by the Food & Business Knowledge Platform (F&BKP) in cooperation with AgriProFocus Ethiopia on April 7, 2016 in Global Hotel, Addis Ababa.

In this the ARF call, fifteen projects can be granted. ARF aims at promoting research supported innovations that are readily applicable and contribute to the enhancement of sustainable food security for the most vulnerable populations in the fifteen partner countries of Dutch development cooperation, and including Ethiopia. The workshop is an initiative of F&BKP and AgriProFocus Ethiopia to give more background information about ARF, its objective and the application process.

Report of the workshop

More than 20 participants from organizations and institutions such as Addis Ababa University, Samara University, Institute for Sustainable Development (ISD), Best Practice Association, Mercy Corps, Soil & More and Grain Health attended the workshop.

Mr. Frans Verberne from the F&BKP gave a detailed presentation about the Applied Research Funf, its objective and the application process. He also responded to several questions from the participants.
