In 2015, declared by the United Nations as the International Year of the Soil, Wageningen University is organizing the second edition of the Wageningen Soil Conference. Both the success of the first WSC, with its thematic programming, and the recognition of the importance of the soil by the UN shows that there is a growing acknowledgement for the important role of soils in solving the problems of our time.

The second edition of the Wageningen Soil Conference is taking place on August 23 – 27, 2015 on Wageningen Campus in the Orion Building. We expect around 250 scientists from 28 countries to participate in the Conference with the theme “Soil Science in a Changing World”.
