University of Hohenheim

The University of Hohenheim, supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), DAAD and AGEP, offers an interdisciplinary winter school to provide a platform for alumni of the “Development-Related Postgraduate Courses”, who are now experts, working in areas dedicated to hunger alleviation and poverty reduction in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The Winter School comprises a one-day international conference as well as two days of internal workshops in a group of about 50 participants.

The program will include input on the latest research carried out by the Food Security Center and other researchers at the University of Hohenheim, as well as presentations from external experts on the issue.

The interdisciplinary program will involve the focus areas Food and Agriculture, Food and Energy, Food and Public Health and Food and Regional Planning. There will also be ample room for an exchange of expertise amongst the participants.

Public Conference on Thursday December 3, 2015

Although the Interdisciplinary AGEP-Winter School is meant for a special target group as aforementioned, there is a public conference “A World without Hunger” on Thursday, 3rd December 2015. On this special day, the conference is open to anyone who is interested in participating in the presentations that will be offered by different speakers allotted for that day. The detailed program and the lists of topics that shall be presented on that day can be found here: Program

Due to space limitation in the allocated seminar halls, online registration is necessary.
