On October 4 & 5, 2017 “Poultry Africa 2017 – Expo and Leadership Conference for Sub-Saharan Africa” will be organized for the first time ever. The aim is to receive 1,000 visitors from whole Sub-Saharan Africa to develop a region getting ready to be introduced to new products and innovations.
In Africa, due to a fast growing middle class, a rapid urbanization is driving change. The consumption patterns are changing from a vegetable-, to a protein-rich diet. This large-scaled shift urgently requires developments in professional farming and availability of up to date technologies and innovations.
The morning program of the Leadership Conference will focus on the themes of Antimicrobial resistance, Avian influenza, Poultry Welfare and Zoonotic pathogens, supported by WVPA. In the afternoon, VIV worldwide and partners will focus on the marketing and trade opportunities for Africa.
Presentations will be held both in English and French.
