On the occasion of its 40th anniversary, the Policy and Operations Evaluation Department (IOB) of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs will hold a symposium “Changing directions in foreign policies” on December 14, 2017.

IOB organizes this symposium, a day full of interactive workshops on the major international challenges facing our foreign policies in the next decade. How can we make the Netherlands’ policies future-proof in the wake of climate change, protracted humanitarian crises and Anglo-American disentanglement from Europe? And what can we learn from the past for improving policy performance?

These and other questions will be explored at the symposium, which will take place at the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague.
