The third lunch meeting in a series around the Landscape Approach to Sustainable Development will be held on November 9, 2015. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is proud to present the Dutch première of a special film “Ethiopia rising; red terror to green revolution” by award-winning director Mark Dodd. 

The 60 minute documentary film tells the story of large scale ecological transformation in northern Ethiopia as seen through the eyes of a village leader. Northern Ethiopia is now greener than it has been during the last 45 years and both food and water security have increased. Community efforts have been supported by national governments, civil society organizations and international institutions. The documentary shows a landscape approach in action. It is a tribute to the villagers who have “moved mountains” to reshape their landscapes.  The movie is followed by a Q&A session.
