On September 5, 2017, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organizes the lunch lecture “The illusion of inclusion” in co-operation with the Utrecht University and Fair & Sustainable. The results of the “Follow the Food” programme will be presented and discussed in more detail (by invitation only!). 

“Follow the Food” is a Global Challenges Programme (GCP) project, financed by NWO-WOTRO. During the lunch lecture, the research project team will discuss in more detail the results of the project. Various (Dutch) companies in Ethiopia, Ghana and Kenya which promote inclusion in their business model to improve local food security, have been studied. Research results however, show that inclusion often leads to exclusion: “The illusion of inclusion”.

The presentation of the results will be followed by an interactive discussion. At 12:00 sandwiches will be served, the lunch lecture will take place from 12:30 till 13:30 in meeting room 05A031 – W513 at the Rijnstraat 8 (new location of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
