On March 27, 2019, IFPRI launches the 2019 Global Food Policy Report in Washington D.C., with livestream. The report  is a review of major developments in food policy around the world, highlighting the urgent need for rural revitalization to achieve the SDGs.

The 2019 Global Food Policy Report reviews major food policy developments and events from the past year. In this eighth annual report, leading researchers, policymakers, and practitioners explore the potential of rural revitalization to improve rural lives and meet the Sustainable Development Goals. IFPRI hopes the report spurs action by policymakers as well as academics and members of the business community, civil society, and the media, all of whom have a stake in food policies that benefit the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people.

The 2019 Global Food Policy Report is already published online: please visit the IFPRI website to download the full report or synopsis and to find a clear overview of the themes, regions and indicators.
