The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food quality have opened a Small Business Innovation Research Call (SBIR) for innovative small and medium enterprises interested in contributing to food security in Sub-Saharan Africa. Until May 15, 2018, SMEs can submit proposals for the development of innovative techniques, products or services that contribute to food security for the poorest in ten African countries.

On April 18, 2018, the Ministries and NL Enterprises Agency (RVO) organize an information meeting for interested businesses (in Dutch). The programme is as follows:
