The Inclusive Green Growth Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Water Footprint Network, organize a Brown Bag Lunchmeeting on ‘Improving water productivity through Water Footprint Assessment’.

People use lots of water for drinking, cooking and washing but even more is used for growing our food and for making our clothing, cars or computers.

The water footprint measures the amount of water used to produce each of the goods and services we use. Water Footprint Network is the global leader in water footprint assessment.

Program

The lunch meeting will be at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the ‘Oude Perszaal’. The room will be open from 12.00 hrs. onwards for lunch, the meeting will be from 12.30 – 13.30 hrs.

Ruth Mathews, Executive Director Water Footprint Network, will give a short presentation telling how they contribute to the global commitment to improve water productivity and to SDG 6, ensuring availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all. After his presentation there is room for questions.
