Kaleidos Research, in cooperation with the Netherlands-African Business Council NABC and Wageningen University & Research (WUR) invites the private sector for the expert meeting “Shifting Roles – impact of Dutch Aid & Trade” focusing on the Dutch agenda on aid, trade and investment. The meeting will take place on February 14, 2017 in Humanity House in The Hague. and will be held in Dutch.

With a new cabinet coming close, the question arises whether the current Dutch policies focusing on aid, trade and investment will be continued or adapted.

At the Expert meeting Kaleidos Research will present a discussion paper based on research findings about the (changing) roles of Dutch actors in these policies. Many actors are involved, including Small and Medium Enterprises and Civil Society Organizations. To what extent has the agenda changed the roles of these organizations? What are the main challenges for these actors? Wageningen University & Research (WUR) will also present the first findings of their research focusing on the effect of the aid, trade and investment agenda in Kenya. A panel will discuss the findings and challenges of various actors in the “aid and trade agenda” set by the Dutch minister for Foreign trade and development cooperation Lilianne Ploumen.
