The regional event “Dairy, the motor for healthy growth!” takes place on August 13, 2019 in Nairobi, Kenya and is organized by NEADAP, AgriProFocus, F&BKP and the Project 3R Kenya (Resilient, Robust and Reliable). Participants will learn and build on the collective knowledge to promote the necessary changes for the dairy sector transformation in East Africa.
Invited are representatives of private sector, NGOs, and policymakers and research partners who can share their experiences at technical, organizational, policy and institutional level. To showcase, learn and exchange their latest technologies and knowledge products in dairy! The event takes place a day before the 15th Dairy Africa conference and exhibition (AFDA, August 14 to 16, Nairobi).
Goal of the day
The dairy sector in East Africa is transforming rapidly to keep up with growing domestic demand. In recent years, Dutch and East African partners worked together on a range of challenges in dairy, from farm productivity to consumption and from business development to the policy environment. The Dutch organizations are inviting their partners for this regional dairy event on 4 hot issues:
- milk quality;
- fodder;
- inclusive dairy business;
- dairy professionals 2.0.
The central questions for each hot issue are: what are we learning and what is needed to turn the dairy sector into a motor of healthy growth.
This is the opportunity to connect to other dairy professionals, to showcase your tested solutions and knowledge products and to co-create the learning agenda for the next years.
