The FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) is organizing the “First State Health Ministers Conference on Food Safety and Nutrition”. The Conference focuses on “Promoting Preventive Health through Convergence and Concrete Action” During the Conference, a report will be presented that is a result of the NL-WBG Food for All partnership.

Pre-conference Meetings – Five Tracks
On January 8, 2018, the Principal Secretary (Health), Food Safety Commissioners, Union Ministries / Agencies, Related Bureaus / Divisions of Health Ministry and Agencies under it, will participate in pre-conference meetings focusing on 5 tracks:
- Governance, Administration and Staffing, Training and Capacity Building
- Food Testing and Quality Assurance
- Surveillance, Enforcement and Training and Certification of food businesses
- Food Fortification and Nutrition
- Social, Behavioural Change and Consumer Awareness
Outcome: Develop Joint Action and drafting of Resolution
