On Saturday November 5 it is time for the Africaday 2016! This special event will again take place in the Royal Tropical Institute in Amsterdam. This year’s main theme is the “Relationship between Europe and Africa”.
Annually the Africaday, the biggest event in the Netherlands on Africa and international cooperation, is organized by the Foundation Max van der Stoel (FMS).
The Africaday is an annual event with over 1200 attendants, 150 speakers from the Netherlands and abroad, and around 100 volunteers whom together with the FMS team make the Africaday a great success! Besides a broad cultural program, there are numerous political debates, workshops and speeches in which visitors can get in touch with politicians, professionals and each other.
On Saturday November 5, Africaday 2016 will once again take place in the beautiful Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) in Amsterdam. This year the relation between the EU and Africa will be highlighted. With keynote speaker Ashish Thakkar, CEO and founder of the Mara Group, also “Africa on the rise” wil be discussed.
During the Africaday, the final proposals of the participants in the Food Connection Challenge (initiated by Crosswise Works and BoP Innovation Center) will be presented as well.
