As part of its Infant and Young Child Nutrition program, supported with funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation since 2007, GAIN has implemented 22 projects in 16 countries. Each project explored the potential of market-based models for complementary foods or home-fortification in combination with health sector interventions promoting breast feeding and better nutritional practices, and empowered women to make better nutritional choices.

The symposium will examine lessons learned from this program of activity and will include discussion of what worked and what didn’t work; which barriers were encountered; which solutions can be scaled up or replicated; and where there may be opportunity for future intervention.

During the one day symposium, participants will have the opportunity to join in a robust dialogue about the future of infant and young child nutrition and to identify synergies and opportunities for collaboration.

GAIN will be joined by leading figures from WHO, UN Food Programme, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Save the Children, DFID, CIFF, SUN, MDG HealthAlliance and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

To register your interest in attending please RSVP stating your name, title and organisation to Sunniva Bloem at .
