The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with Trade Mark East Africa (TMEA), BoP Innovation Center and European Centre for Development Policy Management (ECDPM), is organizing a panel discsussion on inclusive trade integration.
Many of us are occupied with fostering trade each day. The ultimate aim is to achieve tangible gains for all people. But how to achieve that all-in package? How to ensure inclusive trade integration? This panel discussion aims at enabling actors involved in trade integration in East Africa to share ideas and experiences on how to foster inclusive trade. Panel members are representatives of Trade Mark East Africa and BoPInc.
TMEA and BoPInc
Trade Mark East Africa (TMEA) is a multi-donor funded aid for trade agency. It focuses on ensuring that trade results in tangible gains for East Africans. But how can a top-down agency ensure inclusive trade integration? How can TMEA reach the Base of the Pyramid (BoP) and work bottom up? What can be learned from BoPInc?
BoPInc supports companies in setting up business models that include the people in the BoP as consumers, producers and entrepreneurs.

The session is hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will be moderated by the European Centre for Development Policy Management (ECDPM) and is open for everybody interested in fostering inclusive trade. Please confirm your participation at: (Sustainable Economic Development Department).
