The University of Hohenheim, supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), DAAD and AGEP, offers an interdisciplinary winter school to provide a platform for alumni of the “Development-Related Postgraduate Courses”, who are now experts, working in areas dedicated to hunger alleviation and poverty reduction in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The Winter School comprises a one-day international conference as well as two days of internal workshops in a group of about 50 participants.
The program will include input on the latest research carried out by the Food Security Center and other researchers at the University of Hohenheim, as well as presentations from external experts on the issue.
The interdisciplinary program will involve the focus areas Food and Agriculture, Food and Energy, Food and Public Health and Food and Regional Planning. There will also be ample room for an exchange of expertise amongst the participants.
