The Makerere University Business School (MUBS) is organizing the 23rd Annual International Management Conference (AIMC) on September 11-14 in Mbarara. During the Business Conference Symposium, ARF project AGRI-QUEST will present their summary video with key findings and recommendations. 

The conference provides an important forum for interaction of different ideas in business and management between the academician, researchers, government and practitioners. It enhances the understanding of all functional areas of business and management. The conference offers an outlet for high quality refereed research on all aspects of business and management. This year’s theme of the conference is The Knowledge Society.

AGRI-QUEST video

During the Business Symposium, the Applied Research Fund project “Strengthening Agribusiness Ethics, Quality Standards, and  ICT Usage in Uganda’s Value Chains (AGRI-QUEST)” will present their 5 minutes video, showing why the project was conceived, how it was implemented and what the key findings and recommendation are. Doctoral symposium –September 11, 2018

The PhD symposium will enable doctoral students to present their research work to peers and with a panel of experts engage in critical discussions. Further, the PhD Symposium will discuss the emerging paradigm of the statement of opportunity verse statement of problem.

Academic Conference – September 12-13, 2018

Aimed at bringing together scholars to present their research work and findings, exchange professional critique and network.

Business forum – September 14, 2018

This forum addresses topical business, management and economic issues with a view to transferring the learning to intellectual business development and growth.

Excursion

The Participants can join an excursion to the Queen Elizabeth National Park in South Western Uganda. The park’s diverse ecosystems, which include sprawling savanna, shady, humid forests, sparkling lakes and fertile wetlands, make it the ideal habitat for classic big game, ten primate species including chimpanzees and over 600 species of birds.
