GCP-2 IP WFE in Kenya & Burkina Faso

In this post all researchers are presented who are involved in the Global Challenges Programme (GCP) research project aiming to strengthen women’s food entrepreneurship in city slums in Kenya & Burkina Faso. »

Project member Huig Bergsma wrote a Blogpost about the stakeholder workshop “Micronutrient management for improving harvests, farmers’ incomes, human nutrition, and the environment” organized on April 5, 2016, by the Food & Business Knowledge Platform at Centraal Museum in Utrecht. »

After the visit in Kisumu, Kenya, in the context of the GCP research project “Women Food Entrepreneurs in City Slums of Kenya and Burkina Faso”, another visit was made to the second research site in the capital of Burkina Faso with local team members from the university of Ouagadougou, and the Dutch PhD candidate. »

In January 2016, the PhDs employed in this GCP research project went for a reconnaissance visit to Kisumu. Kisumu is the third largest city in Kenya and one of the research sites for the project “Women Food Entrepreneurs in City Slums of Kenya and Burkina Faso”. »
