The Knowledge Portal started in March 2015 and was evaluated by means of a survey end 2017. This survey revealed that overall, the respondents are positive about the Portal in its current format. Clearly, the different backgrounds and interest of the respondents asks for different needs, but the overall consensus is that the Portal has added value for professionals working in the field of Food and Nutrition Security. »

Many Dutch organizations are addressing Food and Nutrition Security (FNS), while at the same time they are investing in landscape approaches. During the NLandscape meeting on February 28, participants discussed how to strengthen approaches towards food and nutrition sensitive landscapes. »

The third international workshop of the Food & Business Applied Research Fund (ARF) took place from February 13 to 16, 2018, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The workshop focused on on co-creation and research uptake and was organized by NWO-WOTRO and the F&BKP, in collaboration with AgriProFocus and IFPRI Ethiopia. The public seminar on the third day was entitled “The potential for nutrition-sensitive value chains”. »

This article examines what factors generate, sustain and constrain political commitment for nutrition, how and under what circumstances, to inform strategic ‘commitment-building’ actions. Processes driving commitment are multifactorial, dynamic and strongly context-dependent. »

In January 2018 the research partners of the Global Challenges Programme project “Sustainable integrated fish-vegetable production in Ethiopia” organized an end workshop to share experiences and knowledge.  »
