The Food for All Talks is a series initiated by the WBG-NL Partnership and delivers new insights on strategic issues and operational questions around agriculture and food value chains for the WBG. Fokke Fennema works in New Delhi as Senior Agriculture Specialist at the World Bank Group in the context of the WBG-Netherlands partnership “Food for All”. Fokke will publish a monthly blog on his experiences and insights while working on the agricultural programs of the World Bank Group in India. »

This Market Transformation Workshop took place mid-February 2017, in the context of the MoU between the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and World Bank Group on transformative change needed for agricultural growth as well as food and nutrition security. »

Early February, the first Food for All Talk under the WBG-Netherlands Partnership took place. Chair was Juergen Voegele, Senior Director, Agriculture Global Practice at the World Bank Group. Panelists John McDermott (IFPRI) and Inge Brouwer (Wageningen UR) urged participants to flip their thinking: from “Farm to Fork“, to “Fork to Farm”. »
