The 2019 Annual Report showcases key outputs and outcomes achieved by PIM during the year. PIM research informed agricultural policies or investment plans, contributed to the scaling up of programmes and shaped strategic decisions. »

On June 5, 2020, the second online meeting of the Food security and COVID-19 CoP on Finance & Outreach was organized. Participating organizations were: convener NpM, ICCO, Solidaridad, 2SCALE, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), SNV, One Acre Fund, and OikoCredit. Representatives from the IGG department – acting as co-convener – and the DDE department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were present as well; the CoP is supported by the Netherlands Food Partnership. »

On May 20, 2020, the first online meeting of the Food security and COVID-19 CoP on Finance &Outreach was organized by convener NpM Platform for Inclusive Finance. To prevent hunger in the SSA and SEA region, the CoP Finance & Outreach looks at the financing solutions available for local MSMEs and smallholder cooperatives in the nutrition, agri & food supply chain in emerging markets. »

In the final round of the CGIAR Senior Expert Programme (SEP), two Senior Experts receive extra funding to spend more time on their CGIAR research and research management in large CGIAR programmes and platforms. »

This Dutch Research Agenda call for proposals focuses on SDG interactions and policy interventions in developing countries. The consortia to be formed will work in an inter- and transdisciplinary manner, internationally and across the entire knowledge chain. Theme 2 of the call focuses on “Addressing trade-offs between food and nutrition security (SDG2) and other SDGs”. »

Five senior researchers will receive funding in the third assessment round of the CGIAR Senior Expert Programme to spend more time on their CGIAR research and research management in large CGIAR programmes and platforms. The CGIAR, a global research partnership, collaborates with the Netherlands on food security, dedicated to reducing poverty, enhancing food and nutrition security, and improving natural resources. »
