There were some minor delays due to the October 2014 presidential and general elections and due to heavy flooding in Zambezia in early 2015. In January 2015, the project members of the ARF project “Mozambique: land, inclusive business & food security” started the research in Massingir district, Gaza province; and from May 2015 onwards in Maganja da Costa district, Zambezia province. »

In the first quarter of 2016 NWO-WOTRO will launch the third Call for proposals for the Food & Business Applied Research Fund (ARF), one of the two funding instruments within Food & Business Research. The scope of the Call has been defined in close co-operation with the Food & Business Knowledge Platform. »

Co-creation, stakeholder engagement and commercialization of knowledge were the central themes at the three-day-workshop on Food and Business Research in Uganda. About 40 project representatives and 25 external stakeholders actively engaged to enhance the uptake of research with a strong focus on SMEs. »
