On World Food Day 2019 (October 16, 2019) the Food & Nutrition Security Excellence Programme kicked off. All participating students gathered at the SmaakPark in Ede to get to know each other and the embassies providing the challenges. They gained more understanding of the case they are going to work on and received a first masterclass on designing workplans. »
On World Food Day 2019 the Kick-Off of the Food & Nutrition Security Excellence Programme will take place. In total, 32 Bachelor students from Dutch higher education institutes have been selected to work on real-life cases of Dutch embassies in Africa. The FNS Excellence Programme is carried out jointly by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, and the F&BKP. »
This report aims to enhance understanding on the main challenges and opportunities to empower youth to carry out and benefit from responible agricultural investment by giving voice to young farmers, agri-entrepreneurs and workers. Enhancing the inclusiveness and efficiency of policy processes was one of the main priorities. In particular the need to encourage and strengthen the participation of youth in coordination mechanisms. »
The Food & Nutrition Security Excellence Programme challenges teams of Bachelor students to contribute to Food & Nutrition Security (FNS) by working on real-life cases of Dutch embassies in Africa. Students can now register: selected teams will work for a period of three months on consultancy assignments and pitch their final ideas for the embassies and Dutch FNS experts. »
